Bambi

Bambi was checking out the solar lighting around the campground. We were fortunate to have our camera handy to capture this kodak moment.
If you are patient and quiet, you can usually see the deer early in the morning, or late in the evening as they move across the grounds.

Learning to Blog

We're new at this blogging thing! Please hang in their with us.

We want to try to keep you informed of the progress and opportunities at Leisure Acres Campground / Retreat Center!

Feel free to contact us at leisureacrescampground@yahoo.com
or call us at 812-319-5972.

If you have a church group, business, or family who would like a peaceful, rural experience, simply relaxing; or hiking, sunbathing, playing games, picnicing, singing around the campfire, or learning how to live self-sufficiently - identifying wild edible plants, cooking with the sun, and preserving foods - give us a call.

Ball Game

Families enjoyed playing together, young and old at their picnic.

Fall Nut Harvest

Apple Bobbing

The kids really enjoyed apple bobbing this fall at our picnic. Of course, Dorothy had to demonstrate how it was done.

Picnic Under Pavillion

Not fancy, but a neat place to have a picnic. One of Leisure Acres' goals is to live as close to nature as possible. From this pavillion you have a gorgous view, including the pond where you are welcome to slip off the dock onto a floatie to sunbathe, or just get wet on a hot afternoon.

Digging Footers

Dorothy does not ask anyone to do anything that she is not willing to tackle herself. The camp / retreat center is her design and dream, becoming a reality through the efforts of many.
