Picnic Under Pavillion

Not fancy, but a neat place to have a picnic. One of Leisure Acres' goals is to live as close to nature as possible. From this pavillion you have a gorgous view, including the pond where you are welcome to slip off the dock onto a floatie to sunbathe, or just get wet on a hot afternoon.

Digging Footers

Dorothy does not ask anyone to do anything that she is not willing to tackle herself. The camp / retreat center is her design and dream, becoming a reality through the efforts of many.

Digging Water Lines

Volunteers from Christian Fellowship Church in Evansville, Indiana generously gave of their time and talents to help get initial group of water hook-ups in place. Workampers helped with the water project.

Curious Bambi

Bambi had to check out our solar lighting around camp one evening about dusk. We want to develop a nature preserve and observation points along hiking trails throughout our beautiful 47 acre site surrounded entirely by woods.

Multi-purpose Building

Our first building serves many purposes: camp office, hunter's lodge, camper's loft, manager's apartment. The shop in the background sets just above a small pond and camp garden.

Turkeys at Camp

It is not unusual to hear the chatter of turkeys in the woods, and a real treat to see them outside our camp office window.
